Our Take On The 1923 PVOD Ranking
The Ranking Is Well Deserved
Yellowstoneran for five seasons, and it lost the series lead, Kevin Costner, before it could finish out.1883is a ten-episode miniseries that feels a little too far from theYellowstonestory to be a true precursor.1923, on the other hand, feels entwined withYellowstoneandis the most complete of these three.
If you’ve finishedYellowstone, but never gave any of the spinoffs a chance, the best place to start would probably be1923, soit makes sense that as both shows ended in the last few months, fans of one would be hopping to the other show. It’s an excellent series, after all, with fantastic performances from the ensemble cast.
The time period works well for Sheridan’s sensibilities, and the tight storytelling forces Sheridan to abandon some of his more long-winded storytelling crutches. Despite the high ranking in the PVOD and acclaim for the series, itdoesn’t seem like there will be a1923season 3anytime soon.
