During the press tour forCaptain Marvel, actress Brie Larson revealed an interesting behind-the-scenes fact about the mid-credits scene. During her 2019 appearance onThe Tonight Show, she said that she actually had no clue what she was filming. She filmed the scene in front of a green screenwith the only information being that she was in a room with five other people. Whether fans agree with the practice or not, quite a bit of the MCU is filmed in front of a green screen because of the fantastical elements. However, one would’ve never assumed that this grounded scene would be one of them. It ultimately turned out fine considering that this scene wasn’t reliant on character chemistry, but it’s surprising to know that even the film’s lead wasn’t privy to what scene she was filming. It justgoes to show the lengths that Marvel will go to avoid spoilers leaking, even with their own actors.

Captain Marvel has an interesting role inAvengers: Endgameconsidering she is mostly absent. The studio obviously only wanted to bring her in when they really needed to because of how strong she is, causing more of a dramatic build-up to Thanos’ demise. Carol does have a few scenes with the rest of the Avengers when they are discussing their plans right after the successful Snap. However, it’s fascinating to know now that theCaptain Marvelactress wasn’t even in the same room as theEndgamecast in some of the few scenes she shared with them.
