HEA Season 9 Has An Interesting Choice Of Cast

They’re Almost All HEA Alums

Part of whyHappily Ever After?has a plot twist is because of the cast members that were chosen. All but three of the couples featured this season have been on the spinoff at least once before.

Loren and Alexei Brovarnik have been onHEAfour seasons, as have Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet. This will be Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya’s third season on the spinoff, while Brandon Gibbs and Julia Trubkina are returning for their second season.

Kara Bass and Guillermo Rojer are first-timers onHEA, as are Tigerlily Taylor and Adnan Abdelfattah and Jasmine Pined and Gino Palazzolo, although the latter has been on several other network shows concurrently in the last few years.

Three HEA Season 9 Couples Are Coming Together

& Things Are Getting Heated

In a first ever blended season ofHappily Ever After?,three of the season 9 couples' storylines are intertwined. Jovi and Yara live in Miami now, and Lauren and Alex and Elizabeth and Andrei are also Floridians.

That being said, Loren and Elizabeth have known each other for five years through the90 Day Fiancé network, and Yara is trying to have more local mom friends for support. However, the plot twist inHEAseason 9 revolves around tension between all three couples as they endeavor to hang out more.

Specifically, Loren and Alex have disdain for Andrei, Andrei has disdain for Jovi, Loren, and Alex, and Elizabeth has disdain for Alex. Yara seems to be caught in the middle of the drama.

“The way Andrei talks to people isn’t appropriate,” Loren relayed in the season trailer.

“Straight up rude and disrespectful,” Alex added.

“She’s said a lot of bad things about you. How you talk about her “f***ing weight and how you body shame her,” Elizabeth said to Alex.

Will Cast Grouping Become The Norm On HEA?

Following Individual Couples Was Tried & True

HEAseason 9 is trying something new, and it looks like it’s leading to elevated drama and interesting interpersonal dynamics among the alumni.

The spinoff had always followed the couples on their individual journeys before, which seemed to be the tried and true way the show was conducted. However, change is good, as the show was becoming stagnant with that setup.Happily Ever After?season 9’s couple grouping could become the norm in the future if viewers connect well to this season.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
