A great looking indie title namedGatewaysis out today from developer Smudged Cat Games. You may recognize Smudged Cat as the developer ofThe Adventures of Shuggy, an underlooked game that a number of us here at Destructoid happen to enjoy.

While it may seem like a 2DPortalclone at first, the game quickly gets much more complicated than that. Just watch the above trailer to see what I mean, especially around the 1:40 mark.

You canbuy the game nowfor $10 off the team’s website (or try the free demo from the same location), but Smudged Cat notes that the game will be coming to the Xbox Live Indie channel later this year, in case you’re not keen on PC gaming.

Some early previews have noted that the game is incredibly challenging, and I think it looks kind of likeCommander Keen. So basicallyI’msold. What about you?
