One word or two?

As part of the Annapurna Showcase today, thepublisher unveiledBlade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. Alongside it, they’ve dropped a trailer that shows practically nothing, but I still want it right now.

Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinthis coming from Annapurna Interactive’s internal development team. Set between the original movie andBlade Runner 2049. It occurs after the Great Blackout depicted inBlade Runner Black Out 2022. You’re cast as a retired Blade Runner who is doing…something.

Details are sparse! We see the aesthetics that make thefranchise so memorable, and there’s some spooky narration, but not much else. That’s good enough for me! The only additional details I can find are on the Steam page, which has the tags “Adventure,” “Exploration,” and “Investigation,” but nothing else really solid. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Dammit.

In the meantime, I can catch up on some of theBlade Runnerflicks. I’ve only really watched the first film.

Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinthis currently slated for PC and “console.” There’s no release window, but it will probably be within the next decade. It would be really weird to see it actually released in 2033 or after.
