Rematch Arrives On Game Pass On Day One
An Intense Virtual Reality Soccer Experience
Rematchis focused on one-player control gameplay, unlike other soccer simulation games that requiremanaging a whole team likeEA Sports FC25. The game is designed primarily for online play, with each soccer character on the two five-person teams being controlled by a single player, and then requiring them to work together to form a true teamwork experience. The game alsodoes not feature any penalties, so players can have a more arcade-y experience, with no fouls, offsides, and no downtime.
Rematchwill also feature 3v3 and 4v4 modes. At launch, the game will be online-only, buta single-player offline experience against AI-controlled players is set for release sometime in 2026. The game is being developed by Slocap, the studio that developedSifu, one of thebest indie games of 2022.OverwatchandRocket Leaguehave also been cited as inspirations forRematch.
