For those hyped about BioWare’s latest IP,Anthem, there is aclosed Alpha Testset to occur on December 8-9. Although registration for the test has already ended, entrants should keep an eye on the site, as it is possible some on the waitlist still get a chance to play. If not, players shouldn’t fret much as the dates for the online multiplayer action RPG’s two demos have been revealed, and they are set to occur sooner than some may think.
First, it’s worth mentioning that the game will have two separate set of dates for the demo. The VIP Demo is set to occur first, but to get access,Anthemhopefuls will need to have pre-ordered the game. For their trouble, however, they will be given a special in-game item showing they were among the first to play. This demo is set to occur on January 25-27, which is just a little less than a month prior to the game’s full launch.

Still, despite the close proximity, everyone will get to try their hand at BioWare’s latest IP on February 1 - 3. These are the set dates for theAnthemopen demo, which will see any and all try their hands at what is considered one of the most anticipated titles for early 2019.
Of course, shortly thereafter, the full game will launch on February 22. Some may consider it a bit early to discuss post-launch matters, but it’s worth mentioning thatAnthem’s post-launch planstake a page out ofFortnite’s book. According to executive producer Mark Darrah, events in the battle royale game such as the meteor shower, missile launch, and purple cube all create a form of communal storytelling he’d like to seeAnthemaccomplish.
That’s not to say, however, thatAnthemwill use post-launch DLC as a crutch for its live service game model. In fact, according to Darrah,Anthemwill be acomplete packageat launch. This bodes well for those who get access to either or the two demos and the launch ofAnthemas a whole.
Anthemwill release on August 09, 2025, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
