Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment’s own take on the popular battle-royale craze set within theTitanfalluniverse, seems to be enjoying a surprise success following its sudden announcement and release, and it looks like every other day, a new piece of info is leaked. Most recently, dataminers were able to uncover details about the title’supcoming Battle Pass, and only a short while after that, it looks as if rocket launchers will be added to the game soon.
According to Apex Leaks News - a fan-made Twitter account dedicated entirely to sharing new info and leaks regardingApex Legends- a file name was found in the data for the most recent patch (the same one that nerfed two of the most popular weapons in the game). Of course, the information from this leak may not be entirely accurate, and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
After all, there have been a number of supposed leaks regarding the title that have been dropping ever since the game’s launch at the beginning of February, from new weapons like flamethrowers to new characters, with one rumor claiming thatTitanfall 2’s protagonist Jack Cooper will be made playable. So far, though, none of these claims have been implemented, nor has anybody from Respawn or the publisher EA commented on them.
The only leak that seems to most assuredly be accurate is thata new character by the name of Octanewill be added to the game soon. This leak has actual images of the character to corroborate it, as opposed to just some random bits of code.
With so many leaks coming out of the woodwork, Respawn and EA may need to take extra steps if they want to be able to surprise players with new content. Although that’s far from the only thingApex Legendsneeds, as there are still a number of issues with the game itself, including having a worse netcode than both its rivals -FortniteandPUBG. With this being the case, we even wrote upa list of changeswe’d personally love to see be made to the game.
Apex Legendsis available right now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
