Aftergetting into the Underdarkand finding this interaction, players have to be very cautious. Players must pass a Nature check that happens at the start of the cutscene when approaching the group. If this fails, players won’t know how to handle the situation.
The general idea here is that the Kuo-Toa are going to be worshipping somebody. Even if the character convinced the Kuo-Toa worshippers that the one god is fake, they’ll still attack the player if they don’t accept this mantle of “power.” After the fight with BOOOAL, the worshippers will still need some time to regain their sanity. Players will still leave as a god but at least the Kuo-Toa are alive.
Baldur’s Gate 3is available now for PC. The PlayStation 5 version will be available on September 6th, 2023. A version for Xbox Series X/S is still in development.
