The character art, which until recently was being created by just one person, is right up there with something you may see inIndivisibleor some other high-end 2D title. The gameplay combines the elements of both beat-’em-ups and puzzle games in a seamless mix that works to encourage players to be creative at every turn. While the mechanics are relatively simple, the layers of depth here are pretty staggering. There’s a reason why our own Steven Hansen called it “the actual best game.”

We got to talking to Tom Eastman (designer) and Eric Huang (creative director) about the game, and they were just as sparkling and wild as the project they’re working on. What a tasty surprise!
