Borderlands 3has tons of references andEaster eggs, including some toFuturama,Iron Man, and even other video games. So it’s pretty on-theme that the new DLC has anOverwatchEaster egg in the form of a Mei-themed “Frozen Devil” gun, andOverwatchfans everywhere are wondering how they can get one.
The Frozen Devil is a Legendary pistol that’s only available with the new Eldrich horror-themed DLCGuns, Love, and Tentacles. As one of the 29 new Legendaries introduced in the DLC, many players will likely be looking for it. It’s a Cryo pistol with icicles as bullets, and it has some pretty great potential stats. So how does it relate toOverwatch? The red text on the gun is “Not sorry, not sorry, not sorry,” a nod to the Mei quote “Sorry, sorry, sorry” fromOverwatch.
Where to Get One
The Frozen Devil Pistol, like several Legendary weapons inBorderlands 3, comes from a Crew Challenge. This one comes from one of Hammerlock’s Occult Hunts, and drops from Kukuwajack in Negul Neshai, one of the new locations introduced with the DLC.
Players will first have to defeat the Wendigo to be able to access Negul Neshai; there are three Crew Challenges in this area, including the Kukuwajack Hunt and the spawn needed tofarm the Legendary Hydrafrost. The Kukuwajack looks like a massive scorpion mixed with a xenomorph and a dinosaur of some kind. The monster is ugly but is fairly easy to drop. Once it’s dead, players will complete the Occult Hunt and get that gun.
This spawn is located in near the Database area that Deathtrap leads players to. Here’s the location in a little more detail:
The newGuns, Love, and TentaclesDLC forBorderlands 3comes along with theupdate 1.10. This update ups the level capwhich now allows players to go all the way up to 57. The update also threw in some bug fixes and some loot updates that should make the game more fun and inventory management a lot easier.
