Twitchstar BruceDropEmOff has been banned from the streaming platform following Twitch terms of service violations. The popular streamer recently resigned from One True King, the content creator collective better known as OTK, after he reportedly faced backlash from his followers after appearing on stream with OTK co-founderMizkif who was accused of covering upand downplaying allegations of sexual assault leveled at CrazySlick, another streamer he was roommates with at the time of the allegations.

While his departure from OTK seemed amicable at first, Bruce appeared on his alternateTwitchaccount and spoke about Mizkif who allegedly kept texting him. He went on to say that Mizkif was “weird,” and was allegedly banned for using the racial slur “cracker” as he continued to rail against Mizkif later in his stream. The content of the text messages that apparently set Bruce off is unknown. Bruce appeared on his main account several hours later and received yet another ban for evading the suspension imposed on his alternate account.
The ban on Bruce’s main account is indefinite due to the star incurring multiple violations. He received a similar offense in December 2021, which likely contributes to the permanent nature of the ban. Twitch has leveled similar bans in the past. For example,Hasan Piker received a Twitch banfor using the same slur, which is considered by the platform to constitute hate speech and violates its code of conduct. Hasan’s ban appears to have been temporary – his account is active as of writing.
It is possible for aTwitch ban to be appealed, but appeals are limited to one in a six-month period in the case of a permanent ban. This means that BruceDropEmOff could make a comeback, but if he is not successful in appealing it may be a while before he returns to the platform. The popular streamer might not be onTwitchany time soon, but he does have a YouTube channel that he could leverage pending the outcome of his Twitch appeal if he decides to make one in the first place.
