WithDestiny 2’s PC launchnow just days away, developer Bungie has detailed a schedule of events that will be coming to the upcoming port after it releases. It seems that, like console fans, PC players will have to wait a while for their additional content, though there should be plenty to keep them busy in the mean time.

WhenDestiny 2launches on October 24, players will have access to the first-person shooter’s regular missions and online matchmaking. The Nightfall Strike will also be available right from the beginning, in Normal, Prestige, and Guided Game modes. After that however, players are going to have to wait for additional updates.

On November 1, a week and one day afterDestiny 2’s initial PC release, Guardians will be granted access to the large-scale Leviathan Raid where they can tackle the game’s first chunk of endgame content with their fellow clan members. The Trials of the Nine will also begin at this date, though the event is currentlydown for two weekson consoles due to an unexpected Monty Python-related bug.

Nearly a week later, on November 7, theupgraded Prestige modewill become active for the Leviathan Raid, making the experience significantly more challenging than it already was. Guided Games will become active for the raid at this point too, though this feature, which lets players seek out a clan to raid alongside, is only available on Normal difficulty levels.

AlthoughDestiny 2can be considered a tremendous improvement when compared to the first game, the sequel to the 2014 shooter has actually only soldfifty percent as many physical copiesas its predecessor. Whether this is down to the PC port still being yet to launch, or because players have been more inclined to download digital versions of the game is yet to be seen, but developer Bungie’s claims would have us believe that the new MMO-inspired shooter has surpassed the original title in terms of engagement and digital sales.

Destiny 2is out now for PS4 and Xbox One, and releases on June 30, 2025 for PC.
