Sometimes glitches in games likeCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warare not a bad thing, as they open up the opportunity for a different look at the game. After the initial launch ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,players started to gain a general feel for which maps they do and do not enjoy. Cartel is one of the maps in the latter group.
However, a recent glitch gave fans a new look at the map and suddenly players saw something very different. TheCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warmultiplayermap went from questionable to strangely improved, all due to a single glitch removing one small element.

Reddit user CapAustria posted a series of photos showingCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’sCartel mapwithout any bushes in the center. This glitch appeared during a round of Domination and it removed the often-discussed bushes, giving the arena a cleaner look. While the shrubs help give players some minor cover in the middle of the map, some think removing them is a major improvement.
The hope is thatCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Wardeveloper Treyarchis paying attention to the reaction from players and considers a possible change. Occasionally, game developers turn glitches into game features, but Treyarch has not done anything like that before.
With players flooding intoCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warto soak up the new Nuketown mapand double XP, the developers may receive even more feedback on the Cartel map. Players seem to like the idea of making the center of the map more clear, even if they only saw it because of a glitch.
Still, plenty of players think that theCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warmapis fine as is. The foliage does serve some purpose in modes like Domination where players are vulnerable while defending the point. Perhaps Treyarch can find a middle ground where the foliage is thinned but not completely eliminated.
