Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas been out for a couple of weeks now, with the game quickly becoming the best-selling game of 2019. One of the main selling points ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis that all of the DLC maps and game modes will be free, which means players don’t have to spend money on an expensive season pass just to get their hands on the new content. Now Infinity Ward has confirmed the first two new maps that will be coming toModern Warfarefor free, and fans don’t have to wait long to play on them.

As announced by the officialCall of DutyTwitter account,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis getting two new maps on Friday, November 8 in the form of Shoot House and Krovnik Farmland. Shoot House will reportedly be a standard multiplayer map, whereas Krovnik Farmland will be a Ground War map. This contradicts a recentModern Warfaredatamine leak, which claimed that Krovnik Farmland would be a standard multiplayer map and Shoot House would be for the2v2 Gunfight mode.

In the meantime,Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis also getting a brand new game mode on November 8 as well. Thefan favorite Hardpoint modewill be added toCall of Duty: Modern Warfarealong with the new maps. This too contradicts some of the datamine leaks, as Hardpoint wasn’t listed as an upcoming match type.

In the meantime, it seems likely that the new maps and game mode will be joined by the nextCall of Duty: Modern Warfarepatch that looks to fix a number of ongoing issues with the game. ThenextModern Warfarepatchwill be tweaking claymores as well as making more fixes to the way footsteps sound, but it may also fix the notoriously overpowered 725 shotgun.

Whether or not a725 shotgun nerfcomes in the nextCall of Duty: Modern Warfareupdate depends on how “testing” goes, according to Infinity Ward. The 725 shotgun’s ability to kill enemies with one or two shots at extremely distances with the right attachments has made the gun highly controversial in theModern Warfaremultiplayer community, so hopefully a fix comes sooner rather than later.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfareis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
