Copies ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfareappear to have been received in the wild, according to some reports. It’s unclear ifCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s street date was broken or if copies of the game were illegally taken, but it does appear that the game is out there. Perhaps more importantly,Modern Warfare’s campaign is said to be playable in physical copies that have been released early. Those looking forward to playingModern Warfaremight want to be wary of online spoilers.

Most reports appear to be sourcing a Twitter post from user VonGarcon. VonGarcon apparently gained access to many copies ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand is trying to sell them for $250 apiece via his DMs. They’re even selling copies for both PS4 and Xbox One. To prove they have the game, they posted a short recording of what looks to beCall of Duty: Modern Warfaregameplay from a 2v2 custom private match. The video appears real, as aModern Warfareinstallation bar progresses on the top corner of the video.

A separate person on Reddit is claiming that a friend has a copy ofModern Warfareand that they’re already playing. Apparently, by disconnecting the console to the internet, the player will get a prompt asking if they want to go offline. Selecting this will apparently grant the player access to the game, including its campaign. This information hasn’t been entirely verified, however, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

With only six days left untilCall of Duty: Modern Warfarereleases across all platforms, players won’t have to wait long to experience the game for themselves. Having thestreet date brokenand seeing gameplay shared online is never fun. But at the very least it seems like the leakers aren’t going overboard sharing leaked information. That might change as more people gain access to the game, however. It’s, at the very least, worth being wary of social media for the next week.
