Communication is an important element when playing with a squad inCall of Duty: Warzone, but some players want to take chatting in the game to another level so they can taunt nearby enemies in theFPS game.
Currently, the game’s unique ping system and in-game chat only extend to groups that have queued up together, meaning that those who play the game through solo queue can find thebattle royale game. WhileCall of Duty: Warzonemay not be the most social game, many players have turned to the game while socially isolating due to the coronavirus pandemic. One player has suggested a way for solo queue players to still connect to other players even though they’re not on the same team.

OneCall of Dutyfanposted their idea to Reddit. In their post, the player suggested a proximity chat that would allow gamers to talk to each other as long as they were within a certain distance. According to this player, this could also add a new survival dynamic as well, saying that the comms could be made in a way that players would have to be careful to not activate their microphones if they’re trying to sneak up on an opponent.
OtherCall of Dutyplayersadded their support to this idea on the platform as well. While the game briefly allows enemy players to communicate with each other for a few moments after one dies, many would like to be able to interact more with their opponents. Proximity chat would allow for opponents to taunt each other, which would be an interesting dynamic for campers as it would give away their locations and compromise their positions. While players could opt out of this voice chat system, it would provide a potentially fun atmosphere for those who decide to participate in it.
While there is no word on a voice chat system like this coming toCall of Duty: Warzone, it would be exciting to see ifInfinity Wardconsiders this for a coming update to the game. Proximity chat would be an interesting addition to theCall of Dutygame that may allow for entertaining interactions with fellow players.
