The sun is setting onHay Day Pop,the farm-themed puzzle game developed bySupercell,creator of some of thebest mobile games.According to an update from the developer, in what will be the final update for the game,Hay Day Popwill be shut down on June 15, 2025.
The update that was released today explained thatHay Day Popsimply wasn’t living up to the expectations, perhaps especially when compared to otherSupercellhits. Therefore, it made the difficult decision to end the development ofHay Day Pop.

It is certainly fair to claim thatHay Day Popnever found the popularity of other Supercell games likeClash of Clans. There is a reason thatSupercell was acquired for $8 billionjust a few years ago. While games likeClash RoyaleandBrawl Starsjump to the top of their genre as soon as they are released,Hay Day Popnever seemed to reach those heights.
We believe our players deserve to play the very best games. Sadly, despite all of our efforts, we feel that Hay Day Pop does not meet the standards we have set for ourselves and our players.
Supercell thanked the community for sticking with the game and helping it develop the puzzle title since it was released. But although the game is apparently more fun now than it was on launch day, it never met the standards of Supercell, and never raked inmillions daily likeClash of Clans.
It is always a bummer to see a game be shut down. While the game hasn’t performed how Supercell would have liked, there are likely those out there that truly enjoy the game and will be sad to learn that it is ending. Players have a few more months to enjoyHay Day Popbefore the last rooster crows in February 2021.
