Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’recent trailer for the next installment was revealed at Anime Expo 2025 and followed up by Netflix’s announcement a day later. In it, audiences are once again forced to relive the harrowing experiences of the last cast while being offered snippets and glimpses at what new characters the production team will make us care about next.
While there has been no confirmation of what characters may return or be present forCyberpunk: Edgerunners 2(aside from David), creatives at the Anime Expo panel reaffirmed that Night City would be centered around a new cast. It’ll be a perfect blank canvas to recontextualize the dark and sinister dystopian world in fresh, vivid colors.
Similar to its first season, theCyberpunk: Edgerunnerssequel will feature 10 episodes, further expanding on the violence and corruption brewing within Night City. Those involved in the production have already set out high expectations that the next installment will be darker and much more bloody.
