DC FanDome, DC Comic’s own version of an online fan convention, has recently begun to spin up its marketing machine in anticipation of its event on August 22. While various participants have begun to tease their own news, the biggest splash has been DC’s confirmation of all attending guests, and Dwayne Johnson’s teaser for hisupcoming role as Black Adam.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to Twitter with the phrase “They needed a hero. Instead they got me.” He expressed his excitement to take part in “the first ever celebration of the DC Multiverse #DCFandome!” and signed his tweet “- The Man In Black #BlackAdam.” It has been known for some time that  Johnson would be playing Black Adam for DC, but this appears to be the first teaser of his character in video. It is, admittedly, just a silhouette, but presumably this means fans can expect to see or hear more about the project at DC FanDome.

Johnson is also one of several big names, including Matt Reeves and DC’s own twitter account, to post a video containing a huge list of guests planned to attend the digital event. The event will both be free, and allow users to select which parts of the show they are interested in learning more about, containing panels and announcements on everything from behind the scenes comic book information,to game announcements, to updates on upcoming film projects.

For those specifically interested in DC’s upcoming film and television projects, the list of guests is sure to be persuasive. Planned guests include:The Batmandirector Matt Reeves and star Robert Pattinson,The Suicide Squaddirector James Gunn, along with most of the stars of that film, particularly Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, and John Cena. Other notable guests include the aforementioned Dwayne Johnson, Ezra Miller, Zachary Levi, Gal Gadot, and of course, Zack Snyder.

DC FanDome will be free to watch at DCFanDome.com on August 22.
