Destiny 2’s live eventSolstice of Heroeskicked off Tuesday, with the main grind of the event involving upgrading armor sets from Uncommon all the way up to Legendary Masterworked versions. One of the first tasks to take the armor from Uncommon to Rare involves collecting what are called Elemental Orbs, which drop from enemies when players have the Solstice of Heroes armor equipped. While these orbs will drop while playing through numerous activities in the game, here’s a great farming method to collect orbs and fill those progress bars.
The method comes fromDestiny 2YouTuber MesaSean, and it revolves around this week’s The Pyramidion Nightfall Strike. The opening section of The Pyramidion is full of major enemies, which is the type of enemy from which Elemental Orbs drop. So this farm involves going into the opening section of the Nightfall and killing the enemies and collecting the orbs they drop.

With theUncommon set of the Solstice armor, players will need a certain type of orbs from strikes and Solar orbs from any activity, so this farm will provide both. Another type of orbs must be generated on Earth, so this farm will not work for those. But to choose which orbs to have fall from enemies, equip the subclass and Energy weapon of the matching element. For example, with a Stormcaller and an Arc Energy weapon equipped, the enemies will drop Arc orbs. Conversely, using a Dawnblade and a Solar Energy weapon will produce Solar orbs.
With this farming method, load into The Pyramidion, kill the enemies in the starting area. Then, activate a plate and more enemies will spawn. After that, activate the second plate and kill all the enemies except for one. Then wipe and the strike will reset back at the beginning. Here’s the full method in MesaSean’s video:
In addition to the armor that needs to be upgraded, Solstice of Heroes added a handful ofnew Triumphsfor players to complete. The event runs until August 28.
