Destiny 2is known for its grinds. Whether it’s obtaining theLuna’s Howl hand cannonor simply farming for mods and components, there’s a little bit of it all in Bungie’s online-only first-person shooter. Now, for this week, there’s a quick way to farm for mods and components.
To do so, players will want to complete The Hangman heroic adventure inDestiny 2: Forsaken.Taking only about 6 minutes to complete, The Hangman will drop a weapon or armor piece with a mod nearly every run. Of course, it won’t happen every single time, but enough to make the time invested well worth it.

From the drops, players can break them down to quickly get mods. Furthermore, The Hangman has also reportedly dropped the 160-speed Gamble’s Palm sparrow, Cayde’s legendary sparrow that has only previously been obtainable through the Hollow Lair strike or completing wanted bounties. This is also a great way to grind out Varik’s lore.
For those interested in the lore, it’s worth mentioning that Lost Sector or Flashpoint Tangled Shore events are better for lore specifically, but this way rewards both lore and components in a single grind. Therefore, it’s possible to kill two birds with one stone using this method. Moreover, Bungie is also working onimproving load timesfor the console version of the game, which should be a relief to some completing various grinds.
Rewarding grinds like this Hangman method and improving load times may go a long way for quality of life improvements inDestiny 2,but it appears that the shooterisn’t doing as well as Activision had hopedpost-Forsaken.To correct this, the publisher seems to be targeting new and old players alike, as well as introducing new forms of microtransactions to the game. However, to what extent these strategies will implemented remains to be seen.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
