Destiny 2has been out for nearly two months and developer Bungie is ready to make some changes to the Crucible that will address fan feedback across nearly all PvP game modes. Most of the upcoming changes have to do with score limits, the Mercy Rule, and spawning.

One of the common experiences inDestiny 2is that Crucible matches rarely end when a team reaches the score limit. Instead, most games conclude once the imposed timer on the game mode hits zero. Bungie is looking to make those score limits a bit easier to achieve instead of having games go to full time. Here are the adjustments coming to each mode:

Similarly, theSurvival modeis also getting a reduction to help speed up matches overall. The Survival round time limit will now be 2 minutes instead of 3 minutes and teams will only have 6 lives to share, instead of 8.

As for Supremacy, it is actually getting an increase to its score limit, but that is because Bungie is returning its scoring system tohow it worked inDestiny 1. The way the mode has worked inDestiny 2is that the only way to score is by picking up crests; kills don’t give any points on their own. This new change will now grant one point upon a kill, plus a point for picking up a crest.

Because there will be another way to score points, the overall score limit has been increased from 50 to 70. In addition, Bungie says this patch will adjust “the influence that enemy crests have on the spawning system.” Overall, Bungie will also apply a change to the Mercy Rule so it triggers later in matches.

The patch is expected this coming week, most likely on Tuesday, October 31, but Bungie has yet to commit to a date. In addition to these Crucible changes, the patch (1.0.6) will also fix the Bureaucratic Walk emote glitch, which will thenallow Trials of the Nine to returnon November 3 after a two-week hiatus.

Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
