It’s been a busy week at Bungie as the studio finally brought its popular shooter,Destiny 2, to the PC platform. After navigating through afew bumps and bruises on day one, attention turned back to the question of what’s next for the franchise. With console gamers starving for new content, Bungie attempted to clarify a few points in its latest blog post regarding upcoming content and changes over the next few months.
While the studio prepares content for season 2, the studio plans on making smaller, yet important changes to help improve the experience ofDestiny 2. One such change should make fans happy as a new emote interface will allow players to equip and use multiple emotes. Currently, the game only allows players to equip one emote at a time through the menu system.

While details remain scarce, the example in the blog post mentions that the new emote interface will allow fans to equip the legendary emotes Flip Out, Six Shooter, Salty, and Spicy Ramen all at the same time. With that in mind, it would then appear that Bungie intends to add an emote wheel of some sort similar to whatBlizzard has implemented to handle emotesin its popular hero shooter,Overwatch.
WhileDestiny 2may be an improvement over its predecessor in a number of areas, the experience ins’t perfect by any means. Another point of contention among players is the reward system and its over reliance on tokens. The update also discussed ways Bungie is planning onfixing the rewards and loot systemgoing forward including offering better incentives to the most engaged players. Prestige activity loot, improved replayability for strikes, adventures, and lost sectors, and new ways to spend currency are all on the docket for the studio.
Destiny 2is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
