Gamers have quite a few things to look forward to at the end of this month.Half-Life: Alyxwill be the first entry in the franchise in years,Animal Crossingwill make its Switch debut, andDOOM Eternalwill let players get in some demon-slaying action. Now,DOOM Eternalhas revealed when it will be available for pre-load, so players can jump in as soon as it launches.
Starting now, players are able to downloadDOOM Eternalon the Xbox One, allowing them to get a substantial head start on the game’s install process. PC and PS4, on the other hand, will have to wait until 48 hours before the game launches to start downloading, so on March 18th for most regions. Not only can those that pre-order the game download it early, but they’ll also get a free copy ofDOOM 64to go along with it.

Previously,DOOM Eternalconfirmed the PC requirementsfor the game, and to get it running on max settings, players will need a fairly beefy rig. That being said, the game looks incredibly sharp, offering high detail looks at the various demons, weapons, and environments players will encounter throughout the game.
After the success of 2016’sDOOMreboot, many are anxiously awaitingDOOM Eternalas one of 2020’s biggest games. Thefirst 10 minutes ofDOOM Eternalgameplaywas shown off recently, offering a glimpse at what awaits players when they finally dive into the game – and it looks like it will do right by the franchise as a whole.
So far,DOOM Eternallooks like it will stay true to the formula that fans know and love, but also add in some new stuff to help shake things up a bit. That does mean thatDOOM Eternalwill have more platformingelements, but that may not be such a bad thing.
WhenDOOM Eternaldoes finally launch, it’ll be a big part of kicking off themost anticipated games of 2020. For the most part, 2020 has been a fairly slow year, but that all should change in just under a few weeks. Plus, there’s likely more slated for this year that hasn’t even been revealed yet.
