There are plenty of games set in theDungeons and Dragonsuniverse, but it’s always great to see more of them. Luckily for fans of theDungeons and Dragonsfranchise, The Wizards of the West Coast have announced an all-new title for fans to play through,Dungeons and Dragons: Dark Alliance.
Not a lot of information was revealed aboutDark Alliance,besides it being an action RPG and that it will apparently involve multiple locations from theDungeons and Dragonsuniverse, including settings like Icewind Dale. Not only that, but the game will feature some characters from theDungeons and Dragonsmythos, including Drizzt Do’Urden and the Companions of the Hall.

Other than that, the game is mostly a mystery. The fact that thepreviously-teasedDungeons and Dragonsgameis an ARPG means that fans can likely expect something in the same vein as the recently announcedDiablo 4,but there will have to be more information before any true comparisons can be drawn.Dungeons and Dragonshas a long history with video games as a whole, though it is good to see more in the pipeline.
Dark Allianceappears to be a successor to the originalBaldur’s Gate: DarkAlliancegames from the early 2ooos, which should get longtime fans ofDungeons and Dragonsgames excited. It’s impossible to tell now, but hopefully, the new game will live up to the original’s name. At the very least, hopefully the game will be able to add to the ever-growing pile ofsavageDungeons and Dragonsmemes currently on the internet.
For those after a more traditional game,there’s stillBaldur’s Gate 3to look forward to, though there hasn’t been much information on that quite yet either. However, with 2020 just on the horizon, it’s hard to imagine that there won’t be some new information on either title sometime soon.
