Includes dual-platform play

Electronic Arts’ Origin service officially launched on Apple’s Mac platform today, with analpha versiononly having been released just a few weeks ago.

Origin’s new standout feature with the Mac release is dual-platform play, which enables users to buy select titles once and load them up on either a PC or Mac through their newly unified “My Games” library. Other features coming over from the original Origin service are cloud-based saved games and continues and friends lists.

The list of available games include that from EA’s catalog as well as its publishing partners, such asDragon Age 2, Batman: Arkham City GOTY Edition,Lego: Harry PotterandThe Sims 3— which, along with its expansions, is currently on sale through aSimtastic 13th Anniversarypromotion.
