During Bethesda’s E3 Press conference, Todd Howard took to the stage discussing new details concerning the upcoming post-apocalyptic action role-playing game,Fallout 76. Howard discussed a number of aspects concerning the latest installment, ranging from its online capabilities to its story details, and he even revealeda release date.
Moreover, Howard showed an informational video for how the base building feature will work inFallout 76.He also promised players that they could take their creations with them, which will be interesting to see in-game. Of course, this base building feature focuses on an item called a C.A.M.P, which is a traveling crafting device. Check out the video below:

Considering there’s a story connection to rebuilding America, this feature makes sense, but as evidenced by the above trailer, bases can be threatened by various baddies. There’s even a photo mode in a game to take pictures of bases and more done in solo or cooperative play.
SinceFallout 76is confirmed to beonline-only, it would also appear that this feature is a bit easier with the aid of allies. There also appears to be a form of PVP inFallout 76,as the trailer shows two “neighbors” being unfriendly toward one another. It stands to reason it would be a bit more difficult to defend a base in solo play, but until more information is made available, that is mere speculation at this point.
For thoseFalloutfans who are on the fence considering the online-only and base building features, it’s worth mentioning that Howard revealedFallout 76would be having a Beta, so players can help test the game. Here’show to join the beta. As more news aboutFallout 76becomes available, stay tuned in here. Tell us, Ranters, what do you think about this feature inFallout 76?
