Gargoyles/Fantastic Four#1 by Greg Weissman and Enid Balam
The above press release confirms that this fall will see the release of not just one, buttwo crossovers between the Gargoyles and The Fantastic Four, one from Marvel and the other from Dynamite Entertainment. In addition, the news also arrives with these quotes fromGargoylescreator Greg Weissman on bringing his cast to the Baxter Building:
It just feels perfect to have the First Family of the Marvel Universe interacting with the First Family of the Gargoyles Universe, i.e. the Manhattan Clan. These two sets of heroes, both operating out of Midtown Manhattan - one from the Baxter Building and one from the Eyrie Building - just have so much in common. And, let’s face it, in ways big and small, Stan & Jack’sFantastic Fourwas a clear influence on the creation of Gargoyles back in the early ‘90s. Getting to work on this project really brought out the gleeful kid in me. SO MUCH FUN!

For those wondering what brings the Manhattan Clan together with The Fantastic Four, Weissman points out that the two are bothstreet-level superheroes from the iconic NYC area. That’s enough of a parallel that’s easy to overlook, and in all likelihood, more comparisons will be touched on in the actual story.
