To alleviate some of the stress of waiting, Sports Interactive has now confirmed thatFootball Manager 2022will once again be returning to Xbox Game Pass on launch.

While Sports Interactive doesn’t clarify the specific ways thatFootball Manager 2022and itsXbox Editiondiffer, it does give a general description. This will sound obvious, butFootball Manager 2022is designed for PC while the Xbox Edition has been adapted to console. Players will be able to have a fullFootball Manager 2022experience while using an Xbox controller to navigate the entire game. It’ll also feature Play Anywhere technology for transferring progress between PC and console via an Xbox profile.
This announcement won’t come as a surprise toFootball Managerplayers, of course.Football Managerhas been coming toXbox Game Pass for PCsinceFootball Manager 2019, with Sports Interactive prioritizing making its football simulation game more accessible over asking every player to drop an up-front cost annually. ConsideringFootball Manageron Game Pass has continued for multiple years now, it must be working out well.
Football Manager 2022will still be available through the normal means, as well. It’s currently available for pre-purchase on Steam for $49.49, a 10% discount from its standard $54.99 price.Steamalso offers two weeks of early access. It’s not clear ifFootball Manager 22 Xbox Editionwill be available for individual purchase for now.
