The latestFortnitepatch dropped today, making a few adjustments here and there, but also adding an item that encourages players to stay frosty. The Sneaky Snowman will allow anyone who uses it to stealthily move around the map disguised as an innocent snowman.

With the map now covered in a blanket of snow, the world inFortniteis now beginning to mirror the winter season here in the real world - with the exception of undead Ice Fiends, of course. The 7.20 Content Update released today compliments these recent events with the Sneaky Snowman item.

When a player uses the item, it allows them to blend into the winter scenery by making them look like a snowman. Additionally, it doubles as a shield with 100 health, and will disappear upon entering building mode or using another item. Players can also skip the costume change and instead create a destructible version of the snowman, which works well as a decoy. This will make a map littered with snowmen very nerve-racking to walk through.

Speaking of Ice Fiends, these creatures can be killed to complete special challenges and earn exclusive rewards. Players will want to take advantage of the event and hunt some down for sweet, sweet loot. Anyone ready to melt these frosty foes can check out our guide onwhere to find Ice Fiends. They can be tricky to take down when other players are around, so stay alert and keep an eye on any snowmen in the area.

The latest update also came with surprising news for Battle Royale players. Earlier this week, Epic Games alerted the community that the Quad Launcher would be vaulted, but it appears that a couple more are scheduled for removal.

A total of threeitems are being thrown in the vault, which are the Quad Launcher, Port-A-Fortress, and Grappler. The studio didn’t bother providing any reasons for why these particular items were chosen, nor was there any word on if they will make a return in the future.

Fortniteis available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
