Not too long ago, Epic Games decided to shake up the layout ofFortnite’s map once more by replacing Risky Reels with an area calledThe Block, which acts as a means to showcase player-made content from the free-to-play title’s new Creative Mode. With The Block now in place, fans have become inspired to show off their more imaginative sides by generating their own content for the game, with some now using the feature to remake classicCall of Dutymaps.
As indicated by the tweets below, there are a wide range of differentCall of Dutymaps that are given theFortnitetreatment, with some of the more notable ones including versions of Nuketown,Modern Warfare 2’s Rust, and Shipment. While it’s safe to presume that not every multiplayer map from theCoDfranchise will get representation inFortnitevia its Creative Mode, should players remain diligent enough, then we may see loads more in the near future.
Of course,Fortnite’s Creative Mode doesn’t have to solely be used as a means to recreate maps from other shooter franchises, as players can also choose to remake areas from the map that Epic decided to remove throughout the game’s ever-evolving lifespan. For instance, with Dusty Depot having fallen by the wayside after a meteor struck the map and turned it intoDusty Divot, fans could always use Creative Mode to recreate the area and show it off in its former glory.
Taking all of this into consideration, it’s great to seeFortnitefans diving deeply into the tools Epic has provided with the new Creative Mode, as it could very well prove to be just the inspiration needed for young and budding developers to branch out and start creating games of their own.
