Alongside the additions of Lazy Lagoon and Sunny Steps to theFortniteseason 8 map, developer Epic Games also saw fit to introduce a new type of portable weapon with thePirate Cannon. This weapon can fire cannonballs or even other players, dealing 100 damage on a direct hit and 50 in the general radius. The amount of damage these deal should make the season 8 week 2 challenge simple enough, as it tasks players with dealing 100 damage with said weapon.
This would mean that players simply need to get 1 direct hit off or two hits off in a particular radius. Of course, as simple as that sounds, these Pirate Cannons are rooted in specific locations, soFortniteplayers will want to stay on top of this challenge. It may not be hard to find a cannon, but being able to hit another player who may very well have their own cannon is another matter entirely.

While these cannons are spread out across the island, there are a few areas that make this challenge easier. Pirate Camps contain these cannons, making them a viable location if players can get there first. There are also plenty of cannons to be found on the ship in Lazy Lagoon, so this is likely the best - albeit the most chaotic - area to complete thisFortnitechallenge. Players who want more safety in their search for Pirate Cannons can drop to the east of the ship, where a few cannons can be used to fire at the pirate ship itself.
Otherwise, there are a few locations that randomly have cannons whereFortniteplayers can try to complete this challenge. Luckily, once they’ve completed this challenge ,as well as the other challenges, they will also be able to collect ahidden banner for season 8 week 2.
Many may have also noticed that Epic Games has added theTreasure Map item, which allows players to find some high-tier weaponry to get a leg up in the match. All of this would suggest that, even though it’s only week 2,Fortniteseason 8 is already in full swing.
Fortniteis out now for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
