Players are now into the second week ofFortnite’seighth season, which recently introduced pirates, ninjas, and treasure to the popular battle royale side of the game. And like past seasons, week 2 meansFortnitefans can find a secret banner hidden somewhere on the battle royale map.
Once players complete allweek 2 challenges inFortnite, a free banner icon becomes unlocked, with a clue from the loading screen. The loading screen in question is known as Discovery #2 and it depicts three ninja characters jumping over a lava pit. The banner can be faintly seen in the upper left corner of this image on a stone staircase.

The actual location of this picture can be found at the new volcano point of interest on the updatedFortnitemap. Use a volcanic vent or another method to fly up and then down inside the middle of the volcano to find the Throne Room. The unlocked banner can be found to the left of the throne next to one of the dragon eggs, usually by some treasure chests. Keep in mind that there’s likely going to be a lot of players going for this, so those attempting it should be prepared for a fight.
In addition to the new theme and skins introduced within season 8, the winter wonderland from the previous season has given way to lava and a volcano in the top right section of the battle royale map. Previouslyhinted at by datamined filesas well as an in-game event involving a prisoner that had escaped from the Ice King’s prison, the new volcanic zone known has replaced Wailing Woods. The lava isn’t just for show, however, as it damages players for 1 point for every second spent touching the heated material. Volcanic vents, on the other hand, can be used to boost players and vehicles into the sky.
Fortniteis out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
