Sony didn’t give a specific reason for this price increase, aside from stating that this change will enable it to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to PS Plus.
This news received a ton of backlash online, as users complained about the high percentage increase in the asking price. As a result, some players have decided tocancel their PlayStation Plus memberships, as a number of fans state that they will simply play single-player titles instead of paying for online multiplayer.
