It’s been a massive week for video games, followingBlizzcon, an entire State of Play, and a whole lot more. While Cameron and Anthony didn’t have time to discuss everything that happened this week, there’s still plenty that the two touched on for Game Rant Arcade Episode 10, the latest in Game Rant’s weekly podcast series.
Kicking things off, thePlayStation State of Playwas just a bit underwhelming. Fans didn’t get updates forHorizonorGod of War,two of the games that many people assumed would make an appearance. There were still some positives, though, withSifushowing a ton of promise. Plus, PlayStation announced PSVR2 and the return of Play at Home, making it a big week for the games industry giant.

It was a massive week for looter shooters, too.Anthemwas weighed and found lacking by EA, with the project now confirmed to be canceled after a tumultuous two years. The bright side is thatDragon Age 4will now be a single-player focused experience, ditching the live service elements that EA had planned for it, according to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
In other looter shooter news,Destiny 2’s Witch Queen expansion has been delayed, with the expansion being pushed back to 2022. While that may sound like a negative on the surface, Bungie highlighted a ton of other changes coming to the game, including sunsetting being sunset. With a lot of good stuff on the horizon, both Cameron and Anthony are excited to see what the future holds for the game.
