We’ll see the new game on June 15
Black Tusk Studios has taken over development on theGears of Warfranchise now that Microsoft owns the property. Previously, the studio was working onits own IP, which we caught a glimpse of during E3 2013. Sounds like we won’t be seeing that project again for quite a while, if ever. In a nod toGearslore, the Vancouver-based team will be known as The Coalition going forward.
“When people hear 343 Industries, they associate it withHalo; when they hear Turn 10 Studios, they know that’s who makesForza. Moving forward, when you hear The Coalition, we want you to think ofGears of War,” said studio head Rod Fergusson.
E3 is, crap, less than two weeks out. Fergusson added thatGearsfans will want to watch Xbox Daily: Live @ E3 on Monday, June 15 at 4:00pm Pacific “to see what we’re working on.” Microsoft’s press conference is earlier in the day, at 9:30am Pacific, so maybe catch that too.
