Early in the game,God Eater 3players are tasked with what seems like a simple mission: finding a first aid kit. Before we dive into this, it’s worth noting this article could contain what some consider to beMINOR SPOILERS, so proceed with caution. In the latest entry in the franchise, players take on the role of an Adaptive God Eater (AGE), who are treated as second-class citizens compared to humans and regular God Eaters.

This is why players are tasked with finding this first aid kit during the opening hours of the game. Sho, a young sick AGE, is in need of medical attention not being provided by the Port, bringing this side mission into play. The trick to this side mission is that there is no actual first aid kit to be found. Instead, it seems as if this side mission inGod Eater 3is designed to have players scour the tutorial map.

While this may be the case, it is likely quite frustrating for those completionists who are hell-bent on finding this first aid kit for Sho. Considering the tutorial forces players to receive this dialogue, it may very well seem like a real in-game requirement in thisBandai Namco-published JRPG, but the simple fact is that it’s not.

Luckily, Sho is healed later in the story, and this whole ordeal becomes a non-issue. It’s worth mentioning that this is not standard for the game as a whole, because there are no “side missions” after this. There are optional missions to be undertaken, but nothing similar to this request. In fact, the repetitive mission design is one aspect we discussed in ourreview ofGod Eater 3.

All things considered, for fans of the franchise or gamers who want an experience similar toMonster Hunter World, the title is worth checking out.God Eater 3players will just want to verify to avoid losing needless time on this “side mission.”

God Eater 3is out now for PC and PS4.
