The previously postponed March Community Day inHarry Potter: Wizards Unitehas officially been rescheduled to now take place in early May, boasting some reconfigured gameplay in addition to rewards.
Niantic released an announcement, along with a list of bonuses available during that time and some safety guidelines for playingHarry Potter: Wizards Uniteduring a pandemic. March Community Day will now take place on May 2, running from 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM.

After announcing the Community Day’s May 2 date, Niantic also clarified that the event had been adjusted tofacilitate playing at home; therefore, players shouldn’t have to worry about local rules concerning the pandemic since they can play in the safety of their houses. The March Makeup Community Day: Play At Home Edition includes a new Special Assignment, and its completion results in rewards of Spellbooks, Potion Ingredients, and Gold.
Fred and George Weasley will also be making their rounds: Tonic for Trace Detection Potions will increase the chances of finding their traces, and there’ll be increased sightings from the Room of Requirement V Page along with otherFoundables. In addition, Exstimulo Potions will grant two extra spells and take 75% less time to brew, while special 1 km Portmanteaus will have guaranteed fragment drops of the Dumbledore’s Army Signup Sheet Foundable.
Thus, it looks likeHarry Potter: Wizards Unitefans won’t entirely be missing their March Community Day. It’s fortunate that even ingames likeWizards Unite(which generally requires some walking around), there’s a stay-at-home alternative to gameplay.
