A helpful glitch makes the Mohg, Lord of Blood boss fight significantly easier for oneElden Ringplayer. Glitches can always be a mixed bag when it comes to just how helpful they make a game such asElden Ring. Sometimes, they can be dismissed as silly bugs that don’t impact the overall fight. In other cases, they can be a hindrance, sometimes making the fight harder or outright impossible. In other cases, glitches are used to cheese boss fights, with players able to skip entire phases if they do something specific. This is one such case.

Mohg, Lord of Blood is one of the optional bosses the player can come across inElden Ring, like Malenia. Twin brother to Morgott, Mohg fully embraces his Omen blood and is able to wield blood flame magic that makes up a good portion of his move set. As a boss fight, he may not be as tough as Malenia, as askilledElden Ringplayer could take out Mohg in one shot at level 1, but he can still be troublesome thanks to the ability to create zones of flames that cause bleed buildup. One of his primary mechanics is Blood Curse, which he builds up in the player during Phase 1 only to drain their HP during Phase 2.

It was during this fight that a player came across a peculiar glitch that practically finished the fight for them. Uploading a video to the Reddit r/Eldenring, one user showcased a glitch during the Mohg, Lord of Blood fight. In the video, the player is fighting off Mohg as normal, dodging his attacks and avoiding his areas of blood fire, when suddenly Mohg flies up and throws blood fire onto the floor before dashing back. He falls upon a piece of geometry and gets stuck, staying suspended in the air and, instead of getting back into the fight like the buggedmusic-loving Mohg in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds, this one just dies.

In the comments, other Reddit users give their own experiences with the glitch, mostly with thedragons the player has to fight throughoutElden Ring. They explain that it is a way to prevent soft locks, killing the boss that gets stuck to prevent any issues from happening.

While this glitch was one that actually benefited the player, there are many that only make things worse, like aBlack Blade Kindred glitched into stomping oneElden Ringplayer to death. Still, finding glitches that help make the fight easier could improve the playing experience for many players who have trouble with such enemies, as it can allow them to enjoy the game without getting frustrated.
