Not too long ago, Guerrilla Games sharedthe release date for The Frozen Wilds, which is the open world action-adventure titleHorizon: Zero Dawn’s first piece of post-launch content since it became available earlier this year in February. Now that fans know when they will be able to do some more exploring with the protagonist Aloy in the forthcoming expansion, the video game developer has decided to also announce its partnership with the memorabilia manufacturer Funko Pop to release toys based on the action-RPG’s characters later this October.

As seen in the gallery of images below,Horizon: Zero Dawnfans should expect to receive Funko Pop styled figures of the main character Aloy, the Vanguard of the Oseram tribe Erend,

and an Eclipse Cultist. Not to mention, there will be two separate editions of the game’s robo-dinosaur creature known as the Watcher, with the yellow glow version set to only be available at Best Buy.

While theHorizon: Zero Dawnfigures from Funko Pop above look decidedly nifty – particularly the different Watchers – it’s safe to presume that fans of the game would like to have the option to buy even more sanctioned merchandise for the title from other signature toy manufacturers. For instance, one fan crafteda beautiful LEGO scenea while back featuring Aloy and a Watcher in a lush, post-apocalyptic setting, prompting many to request an official LEGO block set for the game.

Of course, even thoughHorizon: Zero Dawnhas sold upwards of3.4 million copiesas a PlayStation 4 exclusive so far, one has to assume that making characters and creatures from the game into Funko Pop form is Sony and Guerrilla Games testing the waters to see if the brand can be marketed as a now-ubiquitous toy before branching out into other licensed collectibles. After all,Horizon: Zero Dawnis a relatively new IP, so it remains to be seen if a slew of merchandise beyond the game itself truly befits the property.
