Ahead of a major battle inHouse of the Dragonseason 3, one major star is teasing his role in the upcoming season. AfterHouse of the Dragonseason 2 endedwith King Aegon fleeing King’s Landing, the coming episodes are poised to completely redefine the future of Westeros, as the Blacks begin to make their move on the city. Prince Aemond and the Greens are also looking to take the sea back from House Velaryon, even at the cost of thousands of lives. With so many battles on the horizon, season 3 should be utterly devastating for Westeros.
In a new post on Twitter/X, actorAbubakar Salim(Alyn of Hull) is already teasing the upcoming confrontations. His post revealed an image ofSalim wearing full plate armor, which bears the Velaryon sigil in the center of his chest. Check out his post below:
Salim gave limited comments about the post, only describing it with the word “Yup” and an image of a fist striking the sea and a waiting anchor. The armor appears to be somewhat old, as the Velaryon sigil is somewhat scraped and marred by age.

Alyn Is Poised To Fight In The Battle Of The Gullet
House of the Dragonseason 3 will include the Battle of the Gullet, a bloody naval affair that will see the destruction of entire fleets of ships. The battle will include multiple dragons, dozens of ships, and thousands of lives lost in the name of the Velaryon and Targaryen hosts. WhileAlyn has not claimed a dragon, he will be heavily involved in the battle, as he is “salt and sea,” just like his illegitimate father, Corlys Velaryon.Alyn is seemingly on the path to claim House Velaryonfor himself, so this battle could bring him significant legitimacy, if he survives.
Alyn was introduced in season 2, episode 1, “A Son for a Son.”
Alyn has previously worn House Velaryon clothing, as he is in service to the House, so it is not necessarily surprising that he would wear the sigil. Still, it is a sign that he remains loyal to his family, even if he refuses to acknowledge his parentage and the privileges that it can grant. Salim’s emoji posts are also a sign about Alyn’s future, asthe fist ties to Alyn’s nickname: Alyn Oakenfist. As Alyn will be waging war inHouse of the Dragonseason 3, he could very well earn that name in these episodes.

After season 1 and season 2 skipped many of the battles that madeGeorge R. R. Martin’sFire & Bloodso memorable, season 3 is poised to feature the bloodiest battle yet. The Battle of the Gullet will be horrifying, so it is no great surprise that Salim would tease that upcoming confrontation. The Blacks and the Greens will be facing an utterly devastating war, and there is seemingly nothing that could cool the tensions anytime soon.Just seeing Salim’s armor is exciting enough, but the Battle of the Gullet should be incredible.
