Hunt: Showdownis one of the most unique and thrilling multiplayer experiences in gaming, and a brand new update is headed to consoles to expand on that heart-pounding fun.
Update 1.3 forHunt: Showdownlaunched on PC last month. Console owners have wondered when they will be able to enjoy all that is in store as well, and the community manager has commented on the game’s official Discord channel that update 1.3 is arriving tomorrow, on Jul 12, 2025, at 9am CEST, 12am PST, 2am CT, and 3am EST.

Fans should be very excited about all the new stuff that Crytek has added to the monster-hunting PVP/PVE shooter. The PC 1.3 update came with a brand new time of day, that being sunset. The gorgeous Cryengine lighting is in effect here, and properly taking advantage of the various daytime and nighttime settings is atip that pros use inHunt: Showdown.
The dangers ofHuntcontinue to rise, as multiple new AI monster variants will roam the lands including a new Doctor Grunt that can poison players, but will also drop a medkit upon death, which can be super clutch with how available health is in the game. To help combat the AI monsters and deadly human hunters Crytek added many new weapons, items, and traits with the 1.3 updates for the PC. The new weapons will surely shift the meta as to whichgun is most powerful inHunt: Showdown.
There will also be various new legendary items that can be unlocked withBlood Bonds. The Redneck Hunter highlights the list, but the new weapon gun skins also look pretty.
The console updates aren’t always one-to-one with the PC, so it’s possible that some of these elements won’t yet make it to the console. However, there are rumors that Xbox One to PS4 crossplay may arrive with the update, adding to thethings to love aboutHunt: Showdown.
