I thinkAhsokaseason 2 is going to break a pretty big Force ghost rule, more than it ever has before. In the first season ofAhsoka, the titular apprentice ofAnakin Skywalkerwas reunited with his fallen master from beyond the grave, seeking to finally complete her Jedi training. However, I have a hunch that Force Ghost Anakin will go even further in the upcoming season.

InAhsokaseason 1, Anakin brought Ahsoka into theWorld Between Worlds, showing her moments from their past in the Clone Wars and helping her reignite her conviction of being a Jedi. At the very end of the season, Anakin’s Force ghost was shown on the extragalactic world of Peridea, watching over Ahsoka and her own apprentice Sabine Wren.Keeping that in mind, I do have a pretty strong that Anakin Skywalker’s Force ghost will be doing much more inAhskoaseason 2.

Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker Will Return In Ahsoka Season 2

Continuing His Role From The First Season

During theAhsokapanel at Star Wars Celebration 2025, it was confirmed thatHayden Christensen is set to return as Anakin Skywalker inAhsokaseason 2. As such, one can assume Anakin’s role will be similar to his appearance in the first season. A combination of flashbacks to the Clone Wars and providing guidance to Ahsoka as a Force ghost feels more than likely. However, one can also imagine that Anakin’s role might be increased at some level.

If that’s indeed the case, perhaps Anakin could end up doing and interacting more than any other Force ghost seen in previousStar Warsmedia, to an even greater degree. This is especially true considering the very high likelihood that the narratives taking place on Peridea will pay off the teases to theMortis gods, the cosmic anchorites in the Force who first debuted in the Clone Wars. When Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered these beings representing the Force’s aspects, Anakin nearly replaced the Father, tasked with keeping the balance between The Son, who embodied the dark side, and The Daughter, representing the light.

The Empire Strikes Back Revealed A Key Force Ghost Rule

“I Cannot Interfere”

There’s a lot about Force ghosts that have been left intentionally ambiguous in theStar Warscanon. However, one of the biggest known “rules” is a Force ghost’s apparent limitations when it comes to direct interference in key events. This was implied when Obi-Wan’s Force ghost warned Luke that he would not be able to help him if the young Jedi chose to go to Cloud City and confront Darth Vader inThe Empire Strikes Back.

That said, we do know that Force ghosts can interact with the physical environment.Yoda’s Force ghost caused the tree on Ahch-To to catch fire inThe Last Jedi, while Luke’s Force ghost caught Rey’s lightsaber and later rose his submerged X-Wing from the sea for her to use inThe Rise of Skywalker. However, I’m willing to bet that the Force ghost of the Chosen One will not be bound by the same limitations, and may interfere to an incredibly high degree inAhsokaseason 2as a direct ally to Ahsoka and Sabine (beyond simply imparting sage wisdom).

Star Wars Theory: Force Ghost Anakin Will Break The Rules To Help His Former Apprentice

Getting Involved On Peridea

Baylan Skoll was called by some kind of hidden power on Peridea, and his search took him to the statues of the Mortis gods by the end ofAhsokaseason 1. As such, it’s very possible that Ahsoka and Sabine will contend with the Mortis gods themselves, or even the connectedbeing of entropy from Legends known as Abeloth. If so, I fully expect Anakin to be incredibly involved inAhsokaseason 2, despite being a Force ghost.Force ghost or not, the supernatural forces at work on Peridea could more than justify Anakin Skywalker’s direct involvement, even if he has to bend the “rules” to do it.
