Microsoft has leaned hard into customXbox One Xconsoles this generation, often creating custom consoles to as promotional tie-ins with other brands. The latest promotional tie-in sees Microsoft team with Legendary Pictures to give away custom Xbox One X consoles themed after the four major monsters fromGodzilla: King of the Monsters.
The customGodzilla: King of the MonstersXbox One X consoles include one based on Godzilla, one based on Mothra, another based on Rodan, and of course, one themed after the Godzilla’s archenemy King Ghidorah. The consoles are rather impressive and will no doubt become coveted collector’s items in the coming years, especially since only a limited number are being produced.
For a chance to win one of theGodzilla: King of the Monsterscustom Xbox One X consoles, all sweepstakes participants need to do is re-tweet Xbox’s Twitter post about the contest by June 7. As is typical of these kinds of sweepstakes, no purchase is necessary for anyone who wants a chance to win the custom Xbox One X consoles.
As previously stated, this is far from the first time that Microsoft has released custom Xbox One X consoles. It hosted a similar contest just a couple of months ago where it gave away acustomCaptain MarvelXbox One X, which included a matching controller to boot.
Microsoft’s custom Xbox One X console giveaways haven’t always featured movie tie-ins, however. Some of the giveaways have been done with more surprising partners, like when Microsoft teamed with Oreo to release acustom Oreo Xbox One X consolethat was made to look like someone dipping a cookie in milk.
In the future, fans can expect Microsoft to continue running custom Xbox One X contests on Twitter. It’s hard to predict what companies Microsoft will team with for these promotions, but since it’s featuredCaptain Marveland nowGodzilla, it seems any major blockbuster film franchise is on the table.
