Several months ago, the rumor mill was churning out certain details that potentially pointed toward the company Warner Bros. Interactive working with the publisherTT Gamesto eventually put outLEGO DC Villainsat some point in 2018. Now, speculation about the title has arisen once more, with the latter firm having shared an image online today that teases the forthcoming announcement of the aforementioned game.

As seen in the tweet below from the officialTT GamesTwitter account, the publisher shared a still with the phrase “Chaos is Coming” scrawled in green across a purple wall, which are the signature colors of Batman’s arch-nemesis, the Joker. What’s more is that the emblem of a second foe of the Caped Crusader – that is, the Riddler – is seen as a dark question mark drawn on the background, while the shadowy outline of a LEGO figure looms on the bricks, further indicating aLEGO DC Villainstitle is on the way. Acountdown clockon an official WB Games website is set to reveal something related to the teaser image above in several days from now, so the announcement will probably come next week.

For those unaware, this recent teaser image from TT Games builds on previous conjecture thatLEGO DC Villainswould receive an announcement soon, asa Walmart Canada listingfrom a couple of weeks back showed the title among many other as-of-then unconfirmed products. Interestingly enough, the listing led to Bethesda confirming that it planned on releasingRAGE 2, so there’s a good chance thatLEGO DC Villainsis a lock as well.

All things considered, the LEGO property is incredibly popular with gamers of all ages, and TT Games has proven before that it can put out myriad respectable products based on iconic superheroes set in the plastic construction toy brand’s world. After all,LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2went on to receive decent reviews from various outlets, so it’s safe to presume that the publisher will be able to deliver a fair product withLEGO DC Villains, too.
