Kelly Osbourne, daughter ofthe rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, honored her father with a touching social media messageafter his death on July 22, while detailing her grief and thanking fans. The Prince of Darkness lost his lifeat the age of 76, with the official cause of death being a heart attack and having coronary artery disease.

He also suffered from Parkinson’s disease, a diagnosis that he shared with the public in 2020 during a TV interview. Kelly hasn’t been very active on Instagram or X since her father’s death, which is more than understandable since posting about her pain in real time is probably the last thing she wants to do.

There’s a solid chance, however, that the large amount of support she’s received from fans and feeling thankful about it, compelled her to address her father’s death, despite still being in the first stages of mourning.

Kelly Osbourne Has Addressed Her Father’s Death For The First Time

The mother-of-one posted her message on Instagram Stories and started by telling her 4 million followers that she attempted to write it a hundred times and still isn’t sure if she gathered the right words to express herself properly.Kelly then thanked everyone for their heartfelt messages, whilestating that they helped her cope over the last couple of weeks.

She continued by explaining just how difficult things have been for her, writing, “So many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life.” Kelly wrote about her grief as well, explaining that it hits her in spurts, and she’s far from fine. “I will not be ok for a while,” she stated.

The Lego Masters Jr.host closed her message by writing thatshe’s now aware that her family isn’t dealing with their anguish alonedue to the massive amount of outside support, and she’ll focus on her father’s love going forward. She’ll also look to his legacy to help with her grief, which others seem to be doing as well.

The Ozzy Tributes Are Still Pouring In

Thankfully, the “No More Tears” singer was able to see how much he was loved at his final farewell concert when he was honored on stage and joined his Black Sabbath bandmates. Then after his death, tributes came in droves by famous and non-famous people alike.

There were a slew of artists who honored the singer on stage soon after his death, including Coldplay, Lady Gaga, and Johnny Depp, who joined Alice Cooper for a tribute. However, some of the most recent tributes have come on the late musician’s Instagram page, with many detailing how his music has helped them through the years.

It’s very possible that Kelly will fully address her father’s death in the weeks or months to come and if she does, she’ll probably receive even more support, which will hopefully dilute her pain some.
