Fans of theKingdom Heartsfranchise have been waiting 13 years forKingdom Hearts 3, and now it’s finally available, delivering what seems to be thebiggest game in the seriesto date. Some fans may be wondering exactly how many worlds are in the game so they have a better idea of how long their adventure will be, but how many “worlds” there are kind of depends on who you ask.
There are a variety of different locationsKingdom Hearts 3players will explore during their time with the game. However, some worlds are visited as side adventures and not directly traveled to via Gummi Ship. There is also a tutorial level that serves as a prologue to the game that could arguably be considered its own distinct “world” as well. The game also features some “worlds” that are not based on Disney franchises, especially late in the game.

With that in mind, inKingdom Hearts 3, there appears to be nine main worlds that players will explore over the course of the game, with eight of those being Disney-themed worlds. All of these worlds were confirmed prior to the game’s launch, but even so, players that have been making it a point to avoid any information about the game may consider the following listspoilers, so proceed with caution.
As previously stated, there are also some areas late in the game that are not based on Disney properties, so whether or not they “count” in the world total is up for debate. This is similar to what we’ve seen in pastKingdom Heartsgames, like The End of the World area from the firstKingdom Hearts, for example.
Kingdom Hearts 3, meanwhile, is in a unique position for the franchise because it’s the first main console game in the series since the rise of DLC and online gaming. Considering this, it’s not out of the question thatmore worlds could be added toKingdom Hearts 3as DLC, but that remains to be seen.
Kingdom Hearts 3is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
