Good news, video game music lovers, the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra is preparing another concert series that will once again go on tour worldwide.
After its first tour last year, that celebrated the 15th anniversary of theKingdom Heartsseries, the orchestra is preparing its encore. The acclaimed concert series will begin a second tour starting June 2018. Pre-sale tickets go on sale March 4 (12PM/noon local time), with public sales following shortly after on March 13. According to the website,Kingdom Heartscomposer Yoko Shimomura will be in attendance in select cites, and will be available for a meet and greet with those holding limited VIP tickets. There will also be exclusive merchandise at the event, such as an illustrated 48-page concert program and a special-edition concert soundtrack CD.
As for what the orchestra will be playing, we reckon the concert will rely on many series favorites, possibly with a few selections from the upcoming, and highly-anticipated,Kingdom Hearts 3. Audiences may even be treated with a rendition ofthe game’s new theme song,“Don’t Think Twice”, which debuted recently to hype the title.
In fact, there has been an outpouring of new information and media from Square Enix recently onKingdom Hearts 3as development on the game progresses. The latest of which was a trailer that showed off thenew Monsters Inc. World.
The world takes place in the universe of the Pixar film, and finds Sora and the gang transformed into monsters to fit in with the world’s residents. Together, they help Mike, Sully, and the adorable Boo fend off the heartless. The trailer also offers a sampling of action from some of the other worlds that have been revealed so far, such as the world of Toy Story and Tangled.
