YouTubesensation Lofi Girl, who’s known for relaxing 24/7 LoFi Hip Hop Radio, seems to have disappeared. Several viewers and listeners have been trying to solve the mystery, while also waiting patiently forLofi Girlto come back.

On April 10, approximately at 1pm EDT, Lofi Girl and her cat unexpectedly vanished from the screen, leaving viewers with an empty study desk and a shot of the blue window. Over a week before the disappearance, theYouTubechannel also posted a 36-second video titled “What is happening with this blue window?” where the girl and cat were staring at a building’s blinking window. The channel’s header image was also changed into a calendar with April 11 encircled, and the titles of their streams and their photo have been replaced with a question mark. As of writing, the main Lofi Hip Hop Radio stream is still live, and there’s also a new stream up that shows a dimmed out room with a countdown, which many fans have speculated was a timer for Lofi Girl’s return.
Shortly after, AMW Group reported on EINPresswire.com that Lofi Girl would be launching an interactive campaign on April 11. It didn’t specify what this campaign would be, but assured fans that they will get an immersive experience to bring them closer to Lofi Girl. While waiting, many viewers continued to hang out in theYouTube stream’s chatto talk to each other, and sharing theories that Lofi Girl would show up in the new room.
The upcoming Lofi Girl campaign definitely feels like a rebrand that will feature the dark room featured in the new stream. It’s possible that they will debut a new look for Lofi Girl, perhaps showing her all grown up andworking on a laptop. Plus, if they’re teasing an immersive experience, viewers might just see Lofi Girl moving around the new room and interacting with the surrounding items.
